Hieroglyphs
A living digital archive of childhood memory
The world and the people in it will always have more that unites than divides them. At our core, we share a common humanity. It is something worth cherishing.
Some memories are joyful, some painful, some entirely ordinary, and some we hold like treasure. Whatever they are, together they form the stories beneath our becoming.
We invite contributors to submit a single glyph: a childhood memory shared through writing, photography, artwork, audio or video. It might be a place, a person, an object, a tradition, a moment of wonder, a lesson learned, or an experience that left a lasting mark. Any language. Any format.
Each glyph stands alone, but together they create an evolving archive of memory that spans cultures, generations and borders.
Our hope is that Hieroglyphs will become a place of connection. A place where strangers can recognise pieces of themselves in one another’s stories, where differences are celebrated, and where the small moments that shape a life are preserved.
A wall built from memory.
By collecting these fragments, we hope to build a richer understanding of what connects us across time, distance and experience.
